Spaces of impact - how do we change systems?

With the emergence of tech for everybody and since COVID 19 sent everybody home ideas about what workplaces, groups and communities are have changed. The Systems Transformation Hub (focused on Europe) is an inspiring example of how shared mission can bind and build impact. The group intentionally works on the wicked problems associated with implementation of the European Green Deal. They offer a systems based approach to overcoming challenges with five ‘spaces of impact’: the sanctuary, the situation room, the community garden, the sandbox and the kitchen. Each is designed to maximise impact and progress towards a more sustainable future.

The Sanctuary is where new knowledge is created

The Situation Room provides rapid evidence based advice at short notice because there is a dense network of collaborators

The Community Garden convenes consultation to focus on the most difficult challenges

The Sandbox is where new things are tried and proven (or abandoned)

The Kitchen is where the activities of partners are aligned around shared strategy, to maximise the impact of each individual organisation

The Lucinda Alliance is inspired by these efforts and seeks to progress these in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific to increase the sustainabilty outcomes from our Region hosting Brisbane 2032.
